How did you get into archery?
My Dad used to enjoy archery when at school but after school gave it up. When I was 9 he saw a beginners course being advertised at our local club in Hastings (Bayeux Bowman). We gave it a go and never looked back.

What are your archery performance highlights?

  • National Indoor Champion 2019
  • Multiple National competition medallist
  • Bronze medal at the Indoor World Series in Nimes 2020
  • Silver medal mixed team at the European Grand Prix 2023
  • Representing Great Britain Internationally since 2017

What are your goals for 2024 and beyond?

  • Medal at the European Championships in Essen, Germany
  • Win the National Tour Finals (and as many stages as possible)
  • My goal in the next 2 years is to be top 40 in the world

Manufacturer sponsors

  • PSE Archery
  • Ramrods Archery

  • Easton Archery
  • Bohning
  • Nitro Bowstrings
Who has been most influential in helping you get to your current level?
My Dad - countless hours of travel and taking me to training as a youth archer. Noone else even comes close!

Who is your most admired archer?
I used to have a few 'heroes' of the sport (Reo Wilde mainly) but how can you compete against your heros and think you can win? This has since changed. My most admired archer now is probably Matt Stutzman (The armless archer) for his work ethic, attitude and overall determination to progress himself and the sport!

What advice can you give to up and coming new archers?
Enjoy the ride and ask questions! No question is a stupid question and everyone in this sport is lovely - feel free to send me any questions on my social media platforms too (Instagram - @Kai_ThomasPrause)
