How did you get into archery?
My brother bought me an afternoon taster session in the new forest for my birthday one year. I enjoyed it so much that i then spent the remaining money on a beginners course at Southsea Archery and the rest went from there.

What are your archery performance highlights?
The biggest highlight was becoming National Clout Champion in 2022, and getting my GMB the same year. Other than that, winning the Guildford WA25 in 2019 and becoming Championess of the South (SCAM) in 2021 are two of my most prized medals. Outside of medals reaching the top 30 in UK rankings this year was amazing and first being selected for Hampshire at the 2019 NCTT was a huge deal as it meant i have now represented Hampshire in two different sports at national level.

What are your goals for 2024 and beyond?
I want to get back into clout for 2024 and continue to enjoy the sport. Target wise, i’d like to start pushing towards my PBs and beyond this year, I defiantly think that the GMX3 is going to push those scores this year.

Who has been most influential in helping you get to your current level?
There’s been so many people over the years that have believed in me and continue to do so. Over the last couple of years Sara and I have been training and competing together which has been amazing as we encourage each other, celebrate the highs and pull each other out the lows.

Who is your most admired archer?
There’s no real one person i can name here, I’ve been thinking about this for the last hour and have still got nothing other than this. I admire anyone who keeps going, doesn’t quit when things get tough, they may not be on the podium, they may not even be at competitions, but someone who does archery to enjoy it and does so how they want to do archery. This is why I like archery, you have everyone from the social archers to high level competitive archers at the same club.

What advice can you give to up and coming new archers?
Try everything, find what you enjoy. Be a sponge and absorb everything.
