There are two types of Glove for Archery
Gloves to wear on the String Drawing Hand to protect the fingers from the string, and those for the Bow Holding Hand for use with Longbows and Horse bows, which both protect that hand from the passing arrow, and enhance the grip on the bow itself
It is best to go for a snug fit when new as the leather tends to stretch slightly and mould itself to you with use
