For lighter to medium pull bows of upto 40lbs you can use 12 Strand Dacron Standard String
Dacron strings give a softer feel than the latest low/non stretch materials and 'give' a little on release which is kinder to the bow
These strings should be used on more entry level equipment and also on older bows that were not designed for the shock of the latest high tech strings
