Newsletter Crowd Funding Luke Ralls 4th July 2017
Shooter Luke Ralls Picked For Team GB
But needs funding to make the trip.
Luke is looking to Crowd Fund his shooting for Team GB
The governing body for archery, Archery GB, now require numbers of individual athletes to fund their own trips to international competition.
International Competition is a major part of both learning to win at the highest level and the route to qualifying places for future events such as the Olympics.
Once picked for a team place it is now down to some archers to come up with the funds in order to go and compete.
Luke has set up a Crowd Funding Page to look for funds to allow him to compete abroad.
Crowd Funding generally works by lots of people giving a small amount.
Whether you agree with the idea of archers being paid to compete or not, self funding
of GB Team memberswill make it considerably more difficult for Archery Team GB to be successful internationally in our sport.
Quicks are supporting Luke as we think he deserves to succeed. Crowd Funding seems a positive way around the issue.
Having to strive to compete will certainly add an edge to his drive to win.
If you want to contribute to Lukes funding efforts you can get more details on his Crown Funding page.
